There doesn’t seem to be any official record of my involvement in the game but I was assured I was allowed to announce that I play Fenrico, Primus of the Order of the Deep, in the new V2.0 update to Wuthering Waves, released yesterday. I’ve just watched some gameplay videos on YouTube and I really enjoyed what I saw to be honest. I won’t go into any spoiler territory but you can hear Fenrico in the trailer above from around 2:12.
Here’s me as a Bloodthirster in the new Total War: Warhammer III which was released last month. I’ve been making this really funny joke on the socials about these being the unprocessed clips where they’re clearly processed. I’m laughing now just thinking about it.
Now I’ll be honest: I was dreading this. However, it wasn’t as bad as I remember it. After finishing a 5 hour voice session or something, doing an interview didn’t feel like the best thing to do, but here it is! It turned out OK! Some nice behind the scenes footage of the motion capture as well. Enjoy!
August 28th was a very special day for gamers everywhere because two new releases came out which feature the voice of yours truly. I played Frank Fairburne, one of the main four player characters in Strange Brigade. I also did motion capture for the cut scenes. Below is the trailer – you can hear me briefly but obviously there’ll be a lot more of me in the game if you choose Frank.
The other character I voiced was for the new Warhammer: Vermintide 2 DLC – Shadows Over Bögenhafen. I provided the voice of The Blightreaper, the Chaos runesword which must be retrieved and unmade. Exciting eh! Here’s the trailer for the DLC – you won’t hear my voice here but you will in the game as the sword kind of whispers in your ear….
Back in March I did some voice work for the new Total War: Warhammer video game. The game came out in May but the voices I did were for the Beastmen DLC (downloadable content as I learned) which came out on July 28th. The reason I’m only posting this now is that A) I signed an NDA, and B) I got a bit behind with posting stuff because of the baby (see last post!). Funnily enough I was due to work on another big video game on that very release date (July 28th), but my girlfriend went into labour 2 weeks before the due date so we had to reschedule! Oh well. I’ll tell you more about that game when that’s all out there!
In the meantime, that’s the Beastmen trailer right there. To be honest, I have no idea if any of my voice is in there (apart from the obvious, it is pitched down), and I’ll probably to struggle to identify myself in any uploaded gameplayso if anyone does find any gameplay on Youtube, pitches up a Beastman voice and thinks it’s me, do let me know!
